The Real News: Inequality and Instability

James K. Galbraith, professor at the LBG School of Public Affairs at the Univeristy of Texas, Austin discusses his latest book Inequality and Instability. The book is based on research from the University of Texas's Inequality Project which James Directs. James says he was able to measure the movement of inequality in the United States and broadly around the world over a 40 year period. James says the movement of inequality is very closely associated with the finacialization of the world's economies and with the rising share of income in the financial sector and in sectors favored by the financial sector.
